Ramassin, is a varietylocal plum tree, widespread almost exclusively in the Piedmont area. The fruit is a small plum, approximately 1.5 x 3 centimeters. The color is generally dark purple and one of its peculiar characteristics is the ease with which it is possible to detach the stone from the pulp. Other characteristics are a very sweet pulp and the skin richer in bloom. The ripening period is early, generally in July, although ripening is possible until the end of August.
